Where is akcent from

Could you tell us what happened? Besides this, sometimes you feel the need for a change and I guess this was a bit overdue for Akcent in order for the act to evolve. I am originally from Transylvania, northern part of Romania.

We speak the same Romanian language as the rest of the people, but our accent is different and you can instantly notice when someone comes from that part.

At that time I was working as a radio DJ and my colleagues always made fun of my particular accent. This is how I came up with the name. Following the steps of O-zone, they gained international recognition with their European hit "Kylie" 21 in France, also a small hit in North America , which was the English version of the song "Dragoste de inchiriat".

Then, they released a best of album entitled Primul Capitol and started an international tour. Corneliu Ulici, formerly from boys band Bliss, took his place, but left after only 6 months.

Only one single was released this year: "Umbrela ta". The international version of the album was renamed True Believers. My sister loves the band, its the most-famous band of Romania and has fanbase in every continent except Australia. I like this 0.
