Follow the objective marker in the nearby room to find another statue to interact with; after a scene, some platforms will rotate, allowing you to reach the target of this quest. Follow the marker to reach a room with a couple of treasures 4x Tear of Woe and the Unsetting Sun weapon for Snow , then go downstairs Vetala can't be surprised with a pre-emptive strike, unless you use a Deceptisol.
The fight itself is definitely not one of the easy ones, primarily because the boss is theoretically weak against physical attacks, but he will often barricade himself behind a barrier that can only be pierced by magical attacks. Everything is made worse by the fact that he spams magic spells which deal a ton of damage, and he will inflict Fog and Pain to block your actions thankfully these ailments usually fail to stick. Use Sazh, Fang, Vanille.
Everyone should have at least about 1,, HP now. Set up these Paradigms:. Defense is essential in this fight, because the enemy's spells are extremely damaging. Vetala has different types of magic attacks. He will usually use them in the order I wrote them, in a periodical routine. Thankfully, a SEN active all the time will distort this routine, and he will focus most of his attacks on the SEN herself. Both are very important; if you need to heal, switch to [2] or use a Potion if you prefer; or do both things, really , but then go back to [1] until Imperil and Poison are affecting the enemy.
If you have time, add Bravery on Sazh. Once the enemy is debuffed, switch to [3] and alternate this and [2] to Stagger him. When you succeed his barrier will go down -- use [4] to let Vanille cast Deprotect, and then alternate between [3] and [5] to deal as much damage as possible, while also keeping your HP up.
Paradigm [6] should be used just in case you need to recast Haste on either Sazh or Vanille Fang doesn't really matter and you need to heal, or if you need to recast Haste and the boss already has Imperil and Poison.
It's very important to keep Poison on the enemy at all times, since Poison alone can win this battle. Of course you'll be giving your own contribution to the battle with your own offensive, but it's really Poison's damage that will make the difference here. If necessary, play very defensively and use Potions to heal frequently rather than using Sazh to attack; even if this will make the battle last for longer about 7 minutes , Poison will kill the enemy for you, eventually.
Reset your battle formation to the usual trio Lightning, Fang, Sazh , and give the Strength-boosting Accessories back to Fang.
In the area where the fight occured there is a treasure containing a Librascope. This room by the way is the one where you will soon start farming Pulsework Gladiators. In theory you can start farming now, but let's do the last quest first. The last mandatory mission puts you against a bunch of "bats". The leader of the pack, Penanggalan, is by far the strongest of the group.
If you kill the smaller Chonchon enemies first, Penanggalan will use stronger attacks Aeroga is one of these , and you don't want this to happen. You can't effectively pre-emptive strike the pack without a Deceptisol, and status ailments won't help you in this fight. You can, however, use cheap Summons to make the fight easier.
I suggest employing Lightning as Leader, and then the classic Fang and Sazh. You can endure a few turns in this Paradigm before your HP start to get low; build up the Chain gauge of Penanggalan while you can. Then do what you always do in these situations: use Auto-Gestalt as much as possible, so that Odin will instant-kill the major enemy if he has lost enough HP and the Stagger meter is high enough when Zantetsuken hits.
Most of the minor bats will either die or take major injuries in the process Odin's Thundara will deal more than 1, HP of damage a piece, and they only have 12, HP or so. Head back to the stairs leading to the Fifth Tier. Follow the objective marker to trigger a scene, and then go speak with another statue to open yet more paths on the tower. Now you can finally use the central elevator on the Fourth Tier to reach the last areas of the Sixth Tier.
For now, reach the Fourth Tier. At this point you can follow the objective markers if you want to do so now. In this case, you have to ride the central elevator on the inner ring of the area up to the Sixth Tier.
CP Farming in Taejin's Tower. Exactly where you fought the target of mission 25 the stairs between Fifth and Sixth Tier , there will be a group of 5x Pulsework Gladiator that earns you 8, CP when defeated. To get there, from the Fourth Tier you have to ride the Southwestern elevator up to the Sixth Tier, and then go downstairs from there. Killing the five enemies is a matter of a minute with the party you should have at this point.
The suggested setup is the following: Fang, Lightning, Sazh. Anything that can boost Strength should be equipped. Everyone should have the Scourge ability COM learned.
More Strength is better of course, so if you can start using this farming process the first thing to do with the CP you will earn is to boost up the Strength of these characters to make them more effective. You want to pre-emptive strike the enemies in this battle: this will freeze them and weaken them enough for very quick kills. The easiest way to get a pre-emptive strike is by running from the stairs towards the inner ring of this level.
Lure the enemies towards the inner ring lure them as far as they can go, or almost , and wait until they turn their back to you. When they do, you have great chances at a pre-emptive strike. There's also another way to score an easy pre-emptive strike: lure the enemies towards the inner ring of this level, and engage battle as close as possible to the inner ring. As the fight starts, hit Start and Retry: the enemies will respawn in a position so that the enemy close to the inner ring will be very far from the other enemies, with his back turned towards you -- he's really asking for a pre-emptive strike, you can't fail it this time.
This method is pretty much the backup plan in case you fail the first one; the former is faster of course it doesn't require to enter and exit a battle , but the latter will patch possible mistakes due to mis-positioning.
Start in [1] to let Sazh cast Haste on everyone, and use Quake Technique with Fang just when the fight begins. Once it's done, all enemies will be instant-Staggered. Let Sazh finish casting Haste on everyone, then switch to [2]. If you want to do things properly, constantly switch between [2] and [3] constantly to use the ATB Recharge trick and make the most out of the Stagger time.
Otherwise you can also just lazily let your characters kill the enemies one by one. By the time Stagger-time ends, your characters should have killed at least three enemies, but there are good chances that all five will be dead. Re-Stagger any survivors with [4], and finish them off. TP will never run out, since you will always recharge at least one TP after every fight.
To respawn the enemies, walk up the stairs, wait a bit, and then go down again. The "wait a bit" part can be quantified in terms of seconds, but you will probably want to just go up and down the stairs until you see the five red dots of the enemies respawning downstairs. Indicatively, if you go completely up the stairs and then completely down the stairs a total of three times, the third time you're coming downstairs you will see the enemies respawned. By that time, however, there will be even better farming opportunities available as an anticipation, the next best spot is the last ambush fight at the exit of The Archylte Steppe, before the path that leads to Mah'habara.
How much to farm now is up to you. You can also not farm at all if you want, but I suggest doing this for a little while an hour or so , so you can at least reach COM Lv 4 with all of these characters , thus getting ATB gauge segment 5 for Lightning and Fang, and the third Accessory slot for Sazh on the way.
If she doesn't have it yet, also continue to have Lightning reach at least RAV Lv 3 ; it takes nothing to get there at this point, and it's a good extra to have from now on. Reach the Sixth Tier via central elevator when you're ready to continue with the story. Taejin's Tower - The Cloven Spire. Save the game and then approach the middle of the area for some scenes and a boss fight.
Deploy Lightning, Fang, Vanille. He is weak to Imperil, Deprotect, Slow. Despite the huge amount of HP, this fight is going to be rather easy if you did the essential farming suggested earlier, and reached COM Lv 4 with Lightning and Fang.
The boss is capable of moderate magic attacks, and can, but rarely does, cast buffs on himself and debuffs on your party. Start with [1] to scan the enemy with Libra and cast Slow, Imperil, Deprotect on the boss. The first two will connect rather easily, but Deprotect will take a bit more -- switch to [2] once Imperil and Slow have landed, so you avoid wasting time with an useless character Fang can probably only cast those two spells right now.
While this process goes on, spam Potions to heal whenever you need it. Once all the three statuses affect the boss, switch to [3] for a surprisingly easy Stagger. The boss will fall to the ground, completely helpless, once Staggered. At this point you just have to keep punching him until he is defeated. It's a good idea to spend a turn in [3] after the Stagger occurs, so you can boost up the Chain gauge more quickly for the next hits; then switch and stick with [4] for maximum damage if you can, and at this point I hope you've learned how to do it, ATB-Recharge by switching between [4] and [5].
The process will have to be repeated at least once; a third Stagger might be needed or not, depending on how powerful your party is, and how lucky you are with the boss's attacks. All in all, with Shrouds, this is one of the easiest major encounters of the Tower.
It can get nasty real quick if you don't finish it fast enough though. There are some items to pick up on this top-level of the tower: run around to find 2x Frostbane Brooch Critical Barfrost opposite the Save Station , and an Ethersol on your way to the exit of this place. Moreover, another elevator is now available open your map to see it; it's about on the side opposite to the exit -- speak with the statue near it to activate it.
Then ride this elevator to the Seventh Tier. After doing so, there is only a treasure to get here: it's a precious Collector Catalog Item Scavenger. This item allows you to receive drops from monsters more frequently.
While not of huge importance right now most enemies' loot is still negligible , this will be excellent in the future. You should also always equip it if you have a spare Accessory slot: more loot is always good, even if right now you are not bothering with equipment upgrades at all.
Now that you have a stronger party you can afford to take on a good number of side quests left behind, loot the treasures of Sulyya Springs, and the rest of the things that you skipped earlier.
I still don't advise to make big detours for now, but between you and the end of the Chapter there are powerful enemies some of which you'll have to face and a very powerful boss. You don't want to reach him unprepared, so here's an overview of what I suggest doing:. If you already did this earlier, then just teleport there from Oerba - Backtrack through Sulyya Springs and then Mah'habara to head back to The Archylte Steppe - Complete some missions to activate Waystones in The Archylte Steppe for future detours - Complete other missions to unlock the Chocobos in the Steppe - Farm CP at the currently-best available spot, in the Steppe - When you're ready, head back to Oerba and complete the Chapter.
On the left as you go there will be the Waystone I was talking about a moment ago. It's Cie'th Mission 28 - Faded Glory. The target of your mission is a large pack of Ceratosauri, which can be surprised with a pre-emptive strike extremely easily for some reason.
Feel free to use Quake when the fight starts if you want to Stagger them all at once, but it's hardly necessary. NOTE: here in Oerba there is a mini-quest that will give you excellent rewards that will allow you to get a great boost of stats thanks to improved equipment.
For now I suggest waiting before doing so, and backtrack to do some stuff we left behind first. If you prefer to force your way to those rewards beware that between you and them there are two more Vetalas and other enemies to defeat , skip the next sections of the walkthrough until you reach the point where the Bhakti mini-quest is explained, in Oerba search for " Chapter 11 - Gran Pulse - Oerba". If you activated the Waystone in Taejin's Tower, go back to the Waystone of Oerba and teleport to Taejin's Tower if for some reason you activated Waystones back in The Archylte Steppe, warp directly back there.
If you have to go back on foot, start by riding the elevator left at the very beginning of Oerba to go back to Taejin's Tower top. From the "Apex", ride the central elevator down to the Ground Tier. Then exit back outside from there, and go activate the Waystone to start the 20 th Cie'th mission.
Complete it and the local "teleport station" Waystone will become active. While you go through Sulyya Springs, loot the area to get its treasures Uraninite and Mnar Stone are the two most important ones. If you want, feel free to speed up the killing of the tougher groups of enemies by summoning Bahamuth with Fang as Leader. In Mah'habara make sure that you're progressing in the right direction to backtrack, and not towards the two optional areas at this point you should be able to deal with the local enemies, but I still advise to ignore them for now since you need to come back here later for other Cie'th missions.
Once you know the direction is right, follow it all the way to return to the Steppe. The best farming spot for CP at this point of the game is against the Behemoth King and Megistotherian battling each other next to the exit to Mah'habara. The two are worth "only" 6, CP, but farming them is considerably faster than farming Pulsework Gladiators: it doesn't require messing around for pre-emptive attacks, and respawning doesn't take more than a few seconds.
The strategy is very simple: pre-emptive strike these two you don't even have to try; just run into them, it's pretty much always a pre-emptive strike even if you are in their line of sight , and fight with the usual trio Lightning, Fang, Sazh; use Fang as Leader instead of Lightning though.
Then attack Behemoth King and Stagger him. Lightning and Fang will destroy the Behemoth King in no time, and Sazh will hopefully preserve the Magistotherian's Chain gauge in the meantime, beating him up for good.
This setup will allow you to simply Auto-Battle your way to the victory: Behemoth King will be Staggered by Sazh and Launched by Fang, while Lightning keeps the Chain gauge of the other enemy intact. You don't even have to switch Paradigms with this setup, or use Haste or Quake. The most important thing to optimize the time in this battle is to make sure to Stagger and then Launch the Behemoth King before he can use Hurl.
It's no big deal if he does it, since you can easily kill him anyway at this point, but avoiding his bipede mode will save time for obvious reasons his full HP recovery is one. Due to the delay that the AI has with its inputs even with pre-emptive strikes, for some reason your allies won't attack right away, despite their ATB being already full , using a Leader RAV is the best choice to ensure an early Stagger.
To respawn the enemies, run to the closest Save Station, proceed a few meters ahead of it, then turn around and head back to where they were. How much to farm, once again, is up to you, but don't expect to see any better farming spot any time soon. Ideally, you should continue grinding here until you complete Stage 8 of the Crystarium with every character's main role.
Map of the Cie'th Missions we are going to clear. Even if you are not interested in Chocobos as a means of transportation, Chocobos will actually be required to complete the quest that, later, will let you acquire the accessory that doubles the CP you earn from battles Growth Egg. Therefore there is no reason not to do the simple quests to unlock them while we're here.
The reason why you should complete at least one Waystone mission in The Archylte Steppe should be pretty obvious: we'll return here so many times that having a fast-travel system is necessary. In this order, during this "break" from the main story you'll have to complete Cie'th missions 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 07, 09, 12, 13, I also encourage you to do another couple of quests while you're here: after quest 08 you will get a Collector Catalog and you will activate a Waystone in the Vallis Media; after quest 17 you will unlock a Waystone next to the exit of The Archylte Steppe just where the sweet farming spot is.
Furthermore, you can then head to Mah'habara and Sulyya Springs to complete a quest in each place -- quest 18 and 19 will activate a Waystone in each of the two areas.
I wouldn't advise doing this now though, since there is no real benefit coming from such activation they are pretty much dead areas. Let's start our route now. First of all, head towards the entrance of The Archylte Steppe, all the way Southeast, and interact with the first Cie'th Stone you came across when you first accessed this area. Mark: Ectopudding. Reward: Energy Sash.
Secondary reward: Bomb Shell x 3. Note: nothing important; pre-emptive strike him for easier win. Mark: Uridimmu, 4x Gorgonopsid. Reward: Cobaltite. Note: at this point of the game you will nuke them in no time. The next one is right next to the previous target. The Mark, however, is in an entirely different location. You'll have to return to the Vallis Media area to reach Yaschas Massif follow the red star on your map if you need. In case you didn't get it earlier, while you are in Vallis Media you should open the treasure by the waterfall where Hope was found when you obtained Alexander, earlier, to get a Rune Bracelet.
Here is a map of the treasures available in Yaschas Massif. Mark: Ugallu. Reward: Platinum Bangle. Secondary reward: Bomb Core x 3. Note: approach him from his right side the side where a Waystone will be if you want to attempt a pre-emptive strike to make things easier -- he won't see you. The next stone is in this area; it's a Waystone.
After accepting the quest, follow the red star to avoid getting lost. As you progress, the red star will be located to the far upper-right corner of your map, so just keep going forward and you will eventually reach your target. Mark: Adroa x 4, Verdelet x 2. Reward: Pearl Necklace.
Note: it's possible to pre-emptive strike these enemies. After you jump up the platform where they are, stick to the right side and try to touch the back of the one closest to you by running around him at a safe distance. If he spots you, enter battle and hit Start and Retry. When you finally succeed, open the battle with Quake to Stagger them all, and then use triple COM to defeat them quickly -- you don't want to let them summon new enemies in the battle.
If they do, you might as well retry. You encountered the next Cie'th Stone on your way to the target of your previous mission; backtrack to reach it again. Then keep backtracking and follow the red star to find the target. Mark: Edimmu. Reward: Sorcerer's Mark. Secondary reward: Bomb Core x 5. Note: you can pre-emptive-strike this enemy. To do so, lure him out of his nest, as far as possible from his original location. Then, when you see him flying back towards his original position, run towards him to hit him while he's still flying away.
The fight is best done with Magic-oriented characters here, so it's better if you replace Fang with Vanille. Kelger's Cup Completed all low-level Cie'th Stone missions. From the last mission, return to the areas where the previous Cie'th stone was past the central Waystone, down some tree logs.
Then, at a fork, proceed towards the area that should still be unexplored to eventually find it. Mark: Munchkin Maestro, 4x Munchkin. Reward: Fulmen Ring. Note: don't bother with pre-emptive strike. Ruinga will tear the enemies apart here; cast it manually if necessary it can juggle and effectively stop the minions. The next stone is located at the far end of the area where the previous one was, so go back there and you'll see it on your map.
Target Location: The Paddrean Archaeopolis. Mark: Bituitus. Note: you can't pre-emptive strike this guy. Use Vanille Leader , Lightning, Sazh. Start the fight by spamming Deshell manually, and then when everyone has Haste switch immediately to [2] to cleanse the status ailments Deprotect and Deshell he inflicted with Miasma.
Then switch to [3] and keep healing with Vanille while Lightning and Sazh do all the damage with Ruin. Whenever the boss uses Miasma or his lightning attack, switch back to [2] to cast Esuna and Cura again. You may want to use Doctor's Code and Potions too, but they shouldn't be necessary; if you want to use them, the best moment is when you are under Daze effect can't act for a few seconds after Miasma, and you need to heal item consumption is allowed, unlike other actions, even while Dazed.
The fight will go by very quickly despite you won't aim at Staggering the enemy; Ruin attacks on a Deshelled enemy of this type are devastating even without Staggering. Paradigm [4] is just in case you need to renew Deshell, which shouldn't be the case since Haste should make you finish before your first buffs expire. The enemies temporarily disappeared from the area when the previous enemy spawned -- use this opportunity to loot the treasure spheres in this area before they get back.
Use the Waystone of this area to fast-travel to the other area of Yaschas Massif Tsubaddran Highlands. From there, backtrack out of this whole place and return to Vallis Media. Mark: Rakshasa, 3x Flan. Reward: Collector Catalog. Note: you can get a pre-emptive strike if you try it from the other side of the water the Yaschas Massif side , but it doesn't matter.
Use Fang Leader , Lightning, Sazh. Spam Ruinga manually with Fang for as long as there are Flans alive use only Ruinga, don't add any other attack ; this will keep the enemies busy and prevent them from merging with each other. When everyone has Haste, switch to the second Paradigm and keep spamming Ruinga. When all the Flans are dead, stay in this Paradigm and Auto-Battle until you Stagger the main enemy; then Launch him in the air and switch to the third Paradigm possibly while Fang is in the air, to avoid the Paradigm Shift animation for a fast kill.
Mark: Kaiser Behemoth. Reward: Rhodochrosite. Note: you can pre-emptive strike him. To do so, get his attention by luring him from his left he will stand in position, but he will look to the left now. Then go around him and surprise him from behind that is to say, from where was originally his right side. He's surprisingly weak for a Class-C enemy; good for us. Now head towards the South-most part of the Steppe hug the mountains to the South , and proceed West from the entrance.
You'll reach a path that is currently blocked by a red barrier, and the next Stone is just before it. Mark: Geiseric. Reward: Royal Armlet. Note: pre-emptive strike is not possible. This mini-boss has , of HP and hits hard. On the other hand, he is weak against Deprotect, Deshell, Slow, and all elements. He usually doesn't get "stunned" by your attacks while Staggered, but he can be Launched; unfortunately, Launch will often fail against this enemy having the Vigilance status helps to fix this, but we're simply going to rely on another approach.
The battle requires a full-Magic approach because of the scarce reliability of COM's Launch, and also the relatively small amount of damage dealt by COMs. Hope had Magic, Vanille had , Sazh also The boss uses tremendous attacks, so you must cast Protect and Faith in this order! The boss will attack now, and he will "cancel" your Faith casting; therefore Vanille will receive only Protect.
Next, cast Protect and Faith on Sazh, who at this point has finished casting Haste on everyone and will cast Faith on Vanille. Now everyone has Haste, Protect, Faith, and the boss has Deshell on. Switch to [3] and quickly Stagger him in a turn or so. After Staggering, if you need healing as it's likely to be the case , switch to [5] to let Vanille heal you. Stay in [5] for as long as the situation is under control. When the HP start to get really low, switch to [6] for more healing.
The boss will eventually spawn a side arm, which deals incredible damage. As soon as he spawns it, switch to [4] and Deshell it; then quickly Stagger the arm, and finish it off with [3]. If you need healing you can switch to [5] after Staggering the arm.
Repeat this process recasting Deshell on the boss with [4] when it wears off , and you'll defeat him after a bunch of Staggers. To reach the next mission, hug the South mountains and head towards the previous Cie'th stone; you'll find it after the path that leads to the previous Cie'th, by a small "hill".
Mark: Goblin Chieftain, 3x Goblin. Secondary reward: Bomb Shell x 4. Note: pre-emptive strike is possible; approach them from the left side, that is the side where the closest Save Station is. Mark: Pulsework Champion. Reward: 3x Perfect Conductor. Secondary reward: 4x Piezoelectric Element. Note: you can pre-emptive attack him, although it's a bit difficult.
I managed to do so from the North side, after using Start and Retry to reset his position. You'll see the next and last, for now mission if you check Southeast of the previous Waystone, next to an "empty" on the map area, which is in fact a lake. After starting the mission, the target will be located in the central-South area of the Steppe this area was unlocked by completing one of the previous missions.
Mark: Shagin x 2, Ceratosaur x 2. Reward: Gysahl Reins Chocobos become available to ride. The game will tell you about Chocobos with a mini-tutorial. If you want more info about the "treasures" found with Chocobos, check this map:. You'll have to dig at least 20x treasures for an achievement. Up to five treasures will spawn in the Steppe every time you enter it. I don't suggest deliberately looking for treasures yet, but if you see the "! You can find a link to it in the General hints and tips for quicker reference in the future.
The treasures obtained from Chocobo-hunting are usually random, but after some digs you will get a fixed treasure. In particular:. Gysahl Wreath Discovered buried treasure with a little help from a chocobo. Many valuable items are in this list, but consider them as an extra plus for the mandatory 20x digs you need for the achievement, rather than considering digging with Chocobos a reliable method to obtain these items. Thanks to the Chocobo you can also access some treasure spheres that were previously unavailable.
Here is a map of these treasures. Note that the last three are located behind a red barrier that will only be removed after completing a quest in the future quest 30 ; they are not relevant items for now, so you can ignore them. Even if you don't feel like hunting treasures with the Chocobo too much, try to locate at least one first treasure before leaving: the pre-determined Gold Nugget that you'll get is worth 60, Gil!
It's all done now -- time to proceed with the story. Reach a Waystone and warp to Oerba if you are ready to go. Map of Chapter 11 - Gran Pulse - Oerba. Although the village is small, it's also infested by terrible enemies. Some of them can hardly be avoided; others can't be avoided. If they do, you're good to go; if they don't, you should probably go back to the Steppe and farm some CP to reach these numbers. On the left side, before the Waystone, there's a dead end with a treasure Perovskite ; you probably got this earlier, but anyway.
Proceed towards the "houses" on the right after going down a slope, and go upstairs to get inside. On the floor, in the kitchen, there is a small robot.
Speak with him: it's Bhakti. This robot is associated with three things:. There are no direct rewards for doing this, but the next two points will become available once he's repaired - He will give you rewards every X steps taken on Gran Pulse.
The last one is for 10, steps. An Achievement will unlock once the final reward is claimed - He will also give you a reward for collecting every Accessory and Weapon of the game. Another Achievement will unlock after this milestone is reached. The third point is not going to be of much interest anytime soon. However, the rewards for merely walking on Gran Pulse and repairing him are great at this point of the game, so let's go get them while we explore the village.
The five parts requested by Bhakti are marked on your map as interaction points. One is in the upper-right corner of the open area in front of the house Power Cable. Backtrack a little bit and go up some narrow stairs to access a small building. Here there will be a Vetala the same nasty Cie'th that probably gave you quite some trouble back in Taejin's Tower guarding the second part for Bhakti Battery Pack. You are more powerful now compared to your first encounter with him, so the strategy used there keep Fang as SEN all the time, rely on Poison casted by Vanille, and try to Stagger him with Sazh for extra damage should give you an easy win now.
Proceed further through the village, and fight a couple of enemies to gain access to a treasure sphere containing the Heavenly Axis weapon for Vanille Belladonna Wand is better, so stick with it. Go down the slope and hop past a few tree roots on the street. Make sure to fight the Vampire enemy between them; after the fight you will receive a third part for Bhakti Trochoid Gear as a special drop from him.
After the tree roots, turn left up some stairs to reach anothre treasure sphere Librascope. Another part for Bhakti is here, also guarded by a bunch of enemies, among which another Vetala. If necessary, help yourself with Summons. After a tough battle you'll be able to get the Aspheric Lens. Go through the door on the left side to access some stairs; go up to reach the rooftop, where two treasures can be claimed -- a Moogle Puppet and the Pleiades Hi-Power weapon for Sazh they are a weapon good for hard farming, but their HP malus makes them bad for the average situation.
There is also a dormant Cie'th stone on this roof; nevermind about it for now. After getting everything, go back outside. Continue through the village and you will eventually reach a Save Station.
Go up the nearby stairs to enter another area. Right in front of the roof where you came from there will be the last piece of Bhakti Metal Plate. On the left side there is a treasure containing a Flamebane Brooch Critical Barfire. Even if you already have all the five parts now, hold on a minute before going back to Bhakti, and proceed to open anothe treasure ahead on the bridge. Fight your way North. This treasure contains the Taming Pole weapon for Fang; this is one of those weapons with high stats and Stagger Lock.
Since it's exactly the weapon that we're going to upgrade with Bhakti's rewards, make one last effort and fight this other Vetala to acquire the precious weapon. One last treasure will be found past the last Save Station, and contains an Ethersol , but we'll go there later. Now it's time to go back to Bhakti and receive your prizes. Skip section.
